Offline AI File Renaming with Ollama

Offline AI mode lets Zush process supported analysis locally through Ollama. It is useful for private folders, sensitive client work, or workflows where you prefer local model execution.

  • Zush PRO.
  • Mac or Windows.
  • Ollama installed locally.
  • A compatible local model from the Ollama setup page.
  • Enough memory and disk space for the model you choose.
  1. Install Ollama.
  2. Start Ollama once and download a compatible model from the Ollama setup guide.
  3. Open Zush settings and enable Offline AI mode.
  4. Refresh or select the local model.
  5. Run a small test batch before using it on important folders.

Common starting points include smaller vision-capable models for speed and larger models for better quality. The Ollama setup page lists current examples. Model availability and quality change over time, so test on real files before trusting a large monitored folder.

Offline AI support depends on file type, model capability, and local hardware. For the broadest mixed-folder accuracy across images, PDFs, audio, video, documents, and design files, compare Offline AI results with Cloud AI or BYOK.
