AI Modes: Cloud AI, BYOK, and Offline AI

Zush supports three AI workflows. Choose the mode that matches your privacy, cost, speed, and setup needs.

Cloud BYOK and Offline AI are configured from the same BYOK/Offline tab. Cloud AI works out of the box, BYOK adds your provider key, and Offline AI connects to Ollama.
ModeBest forNotes
Cloud AIFast setup and strong general resultsUses Zush-managed cloud analysis.
BYOKCloud use with your provider accountSupports Gemini, Groq, OpenAI, and Claude on every plan. The free plan shares a 50-rename limit across all modes; PRO removes it. Set up BYOK.
Offline AIPrivate local processing for supported filesUses local Ollama models and depends on your hardware and model choice. Set up Offline AI.

Use Cloud AI when you want the simplest path. Use BYOK when you already have a provider account or prefer your own key. Use Offline AI when supported local analysis matters more than speed or broadest model quality. All three modes are available within the 50-rename free limit; PRO makes them unlimited.

Cloud models are usually stronger across complex mixed folders. Local models can be useful for private visual and preview-based workflows, but quality depends on the model, file type, and available hardware.
