Can it extract our matter numbers?

Yes. A Custom AI Block is a plain-language extraction rule — for example "the matter number, formatted YYYY-NNNN" — that becomes a reusable block in your naming pattern, alongside date, document type, and party.

What about court filings and scanner output?

Both are the intake problem Zush automates: e-filing downloads named by case-number hash and Scan_0042.pdf from the office scanner. Folder monitoring on the download and scan folders renames each arrival to your convention, reading image-only scans with AI vision.

Does Zush handle Word documents and drafts, not just PDFs?
